Growing up with a name like Aisha (eye-ee-sha) I got teased A LOT, getting called ‘Asia’, ‘Alsa’, ‘Asha’… it goes on and on and on.
These days I love my name, I’ve only ever met one other Aisha but have met a few parents who’s child’s name is Aisha.
I’m pretty tolerant of people getting my name wrong, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t annoy me at times.

Anyway, through this journey with my name, I have become a fan of learning other people’s names. Hence, my list of names I love.

I was shopping yesterday at Myers, and at some point during my shopping I had to go to the bathroom, so I followed the signs and alas I found the toilets in the corner of the shop. I followed the long, dark corridor which led to the female toilets, which was of course, the very last door at the end of the very long corridor. So I go inside the cubicle and straight away I see a sign that says “blah blah blah… due to the water restrictions, we ask that you hold the button for 5 seconds to flush” – so I’m looking around the cubicle, looking for any sort of “button” or flusher button of any kind. I don’t see anything… but there is this shiny pole thing just behind the toilet. I don’t see any button on it, but for some reason I lightly touch the top of this pole. All of a sudden the toilet flushes, and I was like “oh okay, so that’s the button.” And I’m watching the water in the toilet get higher, and higher and higher until SPLASH! It comes out of the toilet bowl and onto the floor. I jumped back quickly, so I didn’t get wet but this toilet cubicle was ridiculous! I ran out of there, still needing to go the bathroom, but no way was I going to try another toilet. That is my scary toilet experience.

But my story does end happily as I continued shopping and bought some gorgeous bra’s and lots of great make up.

Peace, Love & Art (and crappy toilets),

Hey there good lookin’!

How are you? Hows life? Hows the missus?

Anyway, I am quite bored today, and in my boredom-ness I have come up with some random, interesting thoughts.

Firstly, why do men have nipples? It’s not like they breast feed or anything…

Secondly, I was reading this article about the “three day” rule. You know, if you meet a guy/girl you really like you wait three days to call him/her (“On the second day, God created man and woman; on the third day, God proclaimed ‘If thou hookith up with woman in a club, thou shalt not call woman before the setting of the sun on the third day”). Well this article takes the “three rule” a little further;

* Three is the number of dates before you’re supposed to hop into bed together

* Date three people at the same time as it will prevent you from latching on to the wrong relationship out of neediness

* Three is the maximum number of months within which you should utter those three magic words, “I love you”

* Three is the number of times you should leave a message for someone before you realise they’re not that into you

My question is, what the heck is with all this dancing around a relationship? If you like someone, call him or her when ever you want too. If they think it’s too soon then screw them, they obviously want to play games. The sooner someone calls me, major brownie points!

I am not going to sleep with someone simply because of the “three rule” – if a guy expects that from me, expect me not to return your calls. I like to go with the flow, not a time limit.

Dating three people at once? When I really like someone, I would hate to think that they are seeing two other people… why do that to someone? Would you like it done to you?

Don’t utter those three “magic words” if you don’t mean it, even if you’ve been dating for 3 months (or more), and your still not there yet, don’t say it. It’ll take away all meaning for when you really do mean it. Save it for the right occasion, just like a nice bottle of wine…

And lastly, with the three messages that don’t get returned… don’t fret, it’s their loss.

Just think, how would you like to be treated in a relationship? With love and sincerity? or with games and false hopes? I can’t speak for all women, but for me – don’t play games.

The way some people think makes me shake my head. Treat everyone how you would like to be treated. If we all did this, all aspects of our lives would be a lot more pleasant!

I suppose that’s it from me for now…

Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you enjoyed it. Don’t forget your free gift voucher on your way out. Drive safe.

Peace, Love & Art

Hello all, hope you are well =)

I’ve decided to put my life plan into a blog, because I believe if you put something out into the universe, you have a greater chance of receiving what you wished for.

So here goes;

First up, I want to be happy, not just on the surface, but genuinely happy – in my mind and body.

I want to be in love, if there is one thing in the world I want, it is to love and be loved. Everyone deserves this. You know how people wish to be CEO of some company? Or become lead violinist in the orchestra? Well mine is to be in love; I want a Husband who will love me unconditionally. Have you seen ‘The Notebook’? I want that kind of love and passion.

I want to have a happy & healthy family that loves and respects each other. As well as themselves. That’s important.

I want to have a beautiful home, close to, or on the beach. I find the beach to be so serene and comforting. I want to grow old in this house; I want to make memories in this house. I want my children to grow up in this house. I will mark their growing heights on the bathroom door. And when I’m 80, I’ll look at it and smile.

I don’t really care for work, I never really have. One of my favourite songs says “don’t make me work for me Friday nights” – well that’s true for me too. I’d be happy with a part time job, but I really don’t want to be a full-time worker. It doesn’t make sense to me. By the time we are 60 we would have worked 11,700 days and had 4,680 days off. I don’t want my life to be like that.

I want a gorgeous King Charles Cavalier dog, whom I will name ‘Pheobe’.

I want Australia to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

I don’t want to live life in regret, and I don’t want to settle for something less.

Some of you are thinking that I’m asking for a lot, and I’m saying “I want” a lot – well, my Mum told me that if you don’t ask for what you want, you won’t get it. You want that last chocolate muffin? But don’t say a word? Well it’s not going to magically float into your hand. You gotta get it out there; say what you want… and who knows? You may just get it.

But now that I’ve said what I want, I’m not going to lie back and wait for everything to magically fall into place, I am going to create this life. I’m going to get out there, grab life by the hand and make it mine!!!

You can do it too Go for it, start now. Do it. DO ITTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

Peace, Love & Art

My friends, how are you? I am at work, yet again… it’s such a beautiful day today. I wish this building had a retractable roof. At least that way I could get a tan and work. Now there’s an incentive to come to work!!! I watched the Steve Irwin Memorial Service last night, I was balling my eyes out. It wasn’t his time to go. I hope Terry and the kids all the best in life… they deserve it. People keep saying that there is going to be a third person to pass away soon… first Steve, then Brocky and then ??? I personally hope they are wrong. Australia’s had the biggest loss’ in a fornight than we’ve had in years. Did anyone watch ‘Spicks & Specks’ last night? My god it was hilarious, as it always is. But I thought Millsy singing “I love Paris” at the end was very comical. He does have a good voice though, I didn’t give him enough credit, which is fair enough due to that ridiculously stupid song he did. But he was pretty funny last night, so Millsy – your okay. To the boys at Sydney FC, good luck!!! Kick some NZ [...]

Kick some NZ Knights ass! Try score at least 2 goals! Then we’ll be running a good third in the ladder! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

The weekend is nearly here, yay! I’m not quite sure what I am doing yet. But the unplanned w/e’s are the best.

That’s it from me, ta-ta for now

Dear Friends, A guy is sitting at a bar in a skyscraper restaurant high above the city. He’s slamming whiskey left and right. He grabs one, drinks it, goes over to a window and jumps out. The guy who was sitting next to him couldn’t believe that the guy had just done that. He was more surprised when, ten minutes later, the same guy, unscathed, comes walking back into the bar and sits back down next to him. The astonished guy asks “How did you do that? I just saw you jump out that window and we’re hundreds of feet above the GROUND!”. The jumper responds by slurring, “Well, I don’t get it either. I slam a shot of whiskey and when I jump out the window, the whiskey makes me slow down right before I hit the ground. Watch.” He takes a shot, slams it down, goes to the window and jumps out.

Dear Friends,

A guy is sitting at a bar in a skyscraper restaurant high above the city. The other guy runs to the window and watches as the guy falls until right before the ground, slows down and lands softly on his feet. A few minutes later, the guy walks back into the bar. The other guy has to try it too, so he orders a shot of whiskey. He drinks it and goes to the window and jumps. As he reaches the bottom, he doesn’t slow down at all…SPLAT! The first guy orders another shot of whiskey and the bartender says to him, “You’re really an asshole when you’re drunk, Superman.”

I am at work at the moment, as usual, and I’m opening up some mail with invoices in them and there’s this one invoice from a company called ‘Schindler’s Lifts’… is it just me or is that politically incorrect? It’s a bit cheeky …

On a completely different note, I don’t think my boss likes me very much. I can clearly see she like’s some other employees, but with me… it aint lookin’ good. I suppose I shouldn’t really care, we don’t go out dancing together or to the pub… I rarely even see her at work. But it would be nice at least for her to like me. I’m a likeable person!

I get paid today YAY! Oh wait… no, I get paid next week. Bugger. Speaking of $$ I’m really good at saving my money, sure there are things every now and again that I must have. But for the most part, I save! What am I saving for, you ask? Well I’ll show you…

You can’t see me just yet, but one day I’ll magically appear standing on the balcony with a glass on champagne in one hand, and my fiance/husbands hand in the other. I couldn’t think of anything better.

I’ll leave you to ponder your own future, your welcome to live next door to me

Peace, Love & Art
